Islamic Circle of North America May 27, 2007

Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is an organization who is supporting the 4 Houston Taliban wannabes. Gathering from news reports, they were ICNA and ICNA-Whyislam workers. We found a website (www.whyislam-tx.org) that was quickly taken down (perhaps due to the extremist link it was promoting, http://jihadunspun.com/) which also confirmed this fact.

We have found that ICNA’s support ranges from raising money for the legal aid for these Taliban wannabes (establishing faketerror blog being one of their methods of raising money), to inciting hatred and retaliation against those who support the justice of these folks, and failing to distance themselves from the criminal actions of these people. Their silence is their approval of the criminal actions of these individuals, especially in light of other Islamic organizations (not directly involved) who have thought it necessary publicly distanced themselves with public statements.

Who is Whyislam?

WhyIslam is the outreach branch of ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America).

Who is the Islamic Circle of North America?

ICNA was founded in the early 1970’s by members of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) who immigrated to the USA and Canada from Pakistan. Their movement is guided by the teachings of Jamaat-e-Islami publications from individuals such as, Syed Maududi who is well known for many books including the ICNA publication “Towards Understanding Islam.” ICNA’s membership is still majority current or former Jamaat-e-Islami members who have migrated then or since then. It’s leadership is Jamaat people and some still hold high status in the Jamaat currently in Pakistan. It’s member base is majority Pakistani while they have an increasing interest in inducting indigenous American Muslims in their ranks.

ICNA officials and Jamaat officials publicly claim that they are not affiliated organizations. Although this is legally true in actuality it is not. There were many occasions were Jamaat members visited the US and they were spoken very highly of and well respected among ICNA members and officials.

What is Jamaat-e-Islami?

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is a political religious party that holds influence among about 325 National Assembly (Pakistani Congressional) seats in Pakistani Parliament held by Islamists. They are the ones who support the Taliban in Western Pakistan.

Since, the Jamaat cannot establish a political-religious party in the USA they established their organization as a religious non-profit organization whose sole mission is to spread the religion of Islam. However, they are still politically active.

icna-houston-politics-a.jpg

ICNA is the parent organization for Young Muslims and WhyIslam. Although ICNA’s charter is to do dawah in the west (propagate Islam) it has largely been ineffective. In realizing this (after September 11, 2001) they founded WhyIslam as a concentrated marketing campaign. However, even though it is successful in propagating the faith it has not been immune to extremist infiltration.

The Jamaat-e-Islami is also mentioned in the following New York Times article as a worldwide political extremist organization. To view (Click here)

The main opposing (more moderate or centrist) parties in Pakistan that is countering the Jamaat-e-Islami among others in the political arena is the “Pakistan Muslim League (N) and (Q)”. Their official websites can be viewed here: Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan Muslim League (Q). The Pakistan Muslim league (N) was the party overthrown by General Musharraf for excessive corruption. The Pakistan Muslim League (Q) is the party that supports General Musharraf. The Jamaat-e-Islami also supported this military coup (Source: Jamaat-e-Islami webpage).

Faketerror spirits low May 26, 2007

Faketerror, a collection of ICNA members, many who are friends and family of the Houston Taliban group, know that they are supporting jihadists yet they can’t bring themselves to admit to it. Faketerror admits the jury didn’t buy into the entrapment claims of the defense on the Syed Maaz Shah case. In fact, it took little more than 1 hour for the jury to reach a verdict. So the Faketerror resorts to blaming it on the number of lawyers! Neither did the federal judge in the Shiraz Syed Qazi case buy into defense claims of entrapment. The fact that CAIR has had a very low key involvment and is treating these cases like a political hot potato should have been an indicator one would think.

If their ‘Allah’ is great, the numbers don’t make a difference! If their ‘Allah’ is God then surely He brought out the truth! When will ICNA condemn the actions of these men?

Here is a post from their front page. We captured it before they delete it again.

Unfortunately the jury of 12 didn’t buy into the entrapment defense on the forth day of the trial. Although the defense attorney did a good job on his part, he was outnumbered and overpowered against the government. The match seemed like a monster against an infant. The prosecutors had 4 persons most of the time at their desk while Maaz only had his attorney to do everything. And consider that the government has all the resources at its disposal (case probably cost them in the millions) while Maaz’s family had to dish out $75,000 from their own for the defense! Most people only see whatever is shown on TV and some read the newspaper. Both don’t show even a minute part of the picture and are in most part usually biased against Muslims. Consider that the trial lasted 4 days and the news article is only half a page and only has about 4-5 lines about what was actually said. You need to hear both sides of the story before making an informed decision… not just from watching what is on TV or in the newspaper.

Yes, they read our blog folks! Shortly after we posted the above capture they edited their comments to say:

What they all did by going to such camps was wrong and they shouldn’t have done so
and taken the government’s bait. Their elders and relatives warned them against this but being in youthful spirit and zeal, they overlooked their advice.
May Allah guide them and keep them steadfast in Islam in the face of these trials.

Does anyone think these folks will listen to the truth! These trials are not about finding truth…its about saving face now.May Allah (swt) help us all.

The question still remains, now that even Faketerror is admitting and distancing themselves, when will ICNA and Whyislam (even MSA in Shah’s case) condemn the actions of these men?

This is Ayub… Muslim MD looking for his Maharani!

I am a jovial, fun-loving person (comedian?), out-going, enjoy picnics, visiting new places and meeting new people. I am very much involved in Islamic activities with ICNA, ISNA, Young Muslims and local ijtemas ,love Allah, and His Islam, and am blessed with oratory skills. I also sport an Islamic beard. I am interested in marrying an educated girl who thinks she might be compatible with me, who is family-oriented. I do not mind a person who would like a career. Well-educated, well-rounded personality in many fields, wants to have (many ?) children (aren’t they a sign and measure of the couples’ love and affection) Islamic background, loving, romantic, energetic, good companion, interesting conversationalist, should mate and bond only once and for life, enjoys laughs, mature sense of humor, not short-tempered or argumentative, who would be my best-friend , my lover, my divider of sorrows and multiplier of happiness, who likes to cuddle while watching T.V. , likes Saturday night comedy clubs and laughter, picnics, B-B-Q’s, hiking, travelling, and will give and take in a relationship. I am ready to compromise, adjust and meet you halfway for every offer. If you think you can spend an entire lifetime with such a person, and gracefully age in his arms, then, go ahead and respond.

My name is Muhammad Ayub, living in Houston, TX

Born in Madras, India, I come from an Urdu-speaking family very well known and respectable. My parents settled in Kuwait since 75 when I was 5 years old and I was brought up there till 16 when I was sent to Madras to complete 11th and 12th grade (I.Q. 130-140) and then went on to do medical studies in Jawaharlal Nehru medical college from Belgaum, India. I finished and came to Kuwait where I worked for a year In UNIKOM (United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission). There I was encouraged by the US soldiers to continue higher studies in the USHouston. That was in Jan 1996. Since then I have finished my step 1 and step 2 of USMLE and am in the process of applying for a residency. I am interested in psychiatry, emergency medicine and trauma care and internal medicine.

There is more to marriage than 4 bare legs in the bed !

WooWoo! Maybe we can get him a date!

These two prints proves Muhammad Ayub holds these two leadership roles in ICNA:

Although these words seem refreshing from an Islamic institution, they do not represent the true ICNA or Whyislam. If it did they would condemn the actions of their members (the Houston Taliban group) and distance themselves from them publicly.

Here is an excerpt from the article they are sporting on the ICNA website frontpage:

“Killing an innocent human being is like killing all of humanity,” he said. (Ahmed, of the organization WhyIslam)

Chicago resident Mary Ali, a Muslim, said many do not realize that Muslims around the world condemn terrorist acts such as Sept. 11, 2001.

“Muslims speak out against terrorism, but we’re not always heard,” Ali said.

Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) is the organization whose property the Houston Taliban group used to set up paramilitary jihad training camp.

See: FBI agent describes groups jihad plot

The President of the ISGH had this to say after the arrests were made, “11-30-06 ‘Rodwan Saleh, president of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston, said although he has not yet fully gauged how the Muslim community here feels about the incident, he believes most people are surprised by it. He said he would urge Muslims to report any suspicious activity they come across, but also said they should not deny their faith.’”

Anyone who has visited our blog early on has noticed some spam on every thread. Each message had a fake name and email, but the SAME IP address: 209.139.208.178.

We have linked the IP address (a proxyturtle address) to an ICNA Houston account since the person hit our site from his email account prior to logging through proxyturtle. We had no visitors prior to the 28 spams and the listed link. Here is the link: http://www.webmail.icnahouston.com/src/read_body.php?mailbox=INBOX&passed_id=351&startMessage=1

As has been reported, the Houston Taliban group are ICNA and Whyislam members. So are their many of their supporters, as we have discovered from the posters at the faketerror blog.

Whyislam forums still haven’t banned these supporters of the Houston Taliban group. ICNA and ICNA’s Whyislam.org still has not distanced themselves publicly from them or the actions of the Houston Taliban group and still harbors these supporters of terror within their organization.

Update

We have just learned from the ICNA spammer that they are from the East coast. ICNA and Whyislam have bases on the east coast. We both were online at the same time and I noticed a new referral link that popped up in the dashboard just before the spammer sent another off topic message. The link was from: http://www.whyislam.org/forum/new_reply_form.asp?M=Q&PID=433450&PN=2&TR=17

So we have learned that the ICNA spammer uses proxyturtle.com to mask his IP address and is an ICNA member with access to the icnahouston webmail account. They live on the East coast and are registered at the Whyislam.org forums. I deleted a lot of his spam but he is very familiar with all of the WK members and tried to forge the name of Giodano, Temporary, Honu, and others. He doesn’t like Realterror reporting the news on the events in Houston and takes it personal enough to spam our forum constantly. Lastly, they are connected with the faketerror group. Shortly after the posted comment, many links from the wordpress fakterror tag started appearing and logging on to check out our fancy new pics of extremist ICNA Whyislam leader Muhammad Ayub and his love article.

_________________________________________________________________________

July 22, 2007 – As per the below comments, we caught more of the spammer impersonating Scarecrow from Realterror, spamming our forum and using racist slurs. Notice he/she masks their IP address through many proxies to get more than one IP. Shown here are about 5 different IPs:

Qazi’s supporters in the courtroom included a representative of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation’s largest Muslim civil liberties group.

-Houston Chronicle

Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is an organization designed to protect the civil liberties of Muslims. Traditionally they are in the forefront of media attention to aid Muslims victimized by employers, other groups or governmental agencies. With regards to the Houston Taliban cases, they have played a subdued (low-key) role not getting involved publicly. However, their lawyers have been reported to be defending some of the individuals in the Houston Taliban cases.

Legal defense lawyers referred by CAIR in these cases:

Adnan Babar Mirza’s Lawyer – Khurrum Wahid

Whyislam promotes Islam on behalf of their parent organization ICNA. Following their arrest, their members and even their forum have actively supported the ICNA-WI members in Houston who conspired and trained in the USA to fight against US forces in the Middle East and sent funds to the Taliban. Whyislam forum has banned or suspended the accounts of a number of people who voiced their opinions against the accused in connection with this case.

4 Whyislam-ICNA workers (coined by the media as the “Houston Taliban”) held jihad training camps on Islamic Society of Greater Houston property in Willis Texas north of Houston.

Syed Maaz Shah talking jihad on Whyislam forums:

Please visit this link to read a very enlightening article on these organizations: ICNA-WI

Whyislam forum extremism is ongoing:

hameedullah-a.jpg The person making this comment “Hameedullah” is a Whyislam Moderator. Moderators set the tone and therefore represent Whyislam as an organization on their forums.

Whyislam forum have not banned Fawaz Qazi who is a Faketerror founder. As you know, and we preserved some of the facts before they took them down, Faketeror promoted violence in their support for the Houston Taliban group and he is on your forum. Shahathens account is still active and he is one of the Houston Taliban that was convicted!! Abu Yahya is another supporter that is on Faketerror that is also a Whyislam forum member who is active. Adnan Babar Mirza, another of the accused in the Houston Taliban case is still listed as “Whyislam-National” and is an active member on the Whyislam forum!!

abmirzamembershipx.jpg Adnan Babar Mirza, who is an accused member of the Houston Taliban group listed here on the Whyislam forum as an active member and his status title in the organization as “Whyislam-National”

Whyislam forums have been suspending people for talking about these cases. In the following snap you see them deny responsibility for the actions of their members and refer to a generic statement posted on their main website that is signed by a number of groups (not ICNA’s National nor Whyislam)

steadys-suspension-wi-terrorism-condx.jpg

Whyislam claims to condemn terrorism (Whyislam Web Post) but they have not publicly condemned the actions of their members (The Houston Taliban group) who were convicted on terror related charges. They, like other ICNA branches, publish this post but are not signatories to it and expect people to believe that they are in agreement with it. Their actions are louder than their words!

The Whyislam forum admins shut down their current events section and will not allow people to discuss the issues involving their organization under threat of suspension of their account. Silence is consent. When will they condemn the actions of their members (The Houston Taliban group)?

All tyranny needs to gain a foolthold is for people of good conscience to remain silent. – Thomas Jefferson

To say that you condemn terrorism is empty words until you back it up with action! Especially if a group of your own members are found to be planning terrorist acts! They have a duty to speak on the actions of their members otherwise the are cloaking their real support for terrorism (from their own members) behind empty words!

The story of WK is very simple…

In the autumn of last year, several non-Muslim posters forum were banned from the Whyislam forum (on the basis of what were perceived as rather flimsy pretexts) after months of actively participating in its activities.

Since the banned Members didn’t want to lose the friendly contacts and the opportunities for discussion they had developed, they decided, half jokingly, to set up a new “sister site”, parallel to Whyislam, called “Whykuffar”.

While initially just a “Kuffar parody” of Whyislam, aimed at “dispelling misconceptions about the kuffar and developing a non-Muslim identity”, the forum developed quite positively, and attracted new Members; it was in fact joined by several Muslims, some of them also banned from Whyislam, some of them not.

Whykuffar’s objective is to allow for a discussion of religious issues, and in particular Muslim/non-Muslim dialogue, without the extensive restrictions and censorship experienced on Whyislam.

While the “interaction” on the forum can be very, very lively, the general atmosphere is quite good-humored, and several Muslims feel quite at home on it.

Except systematic, protracted personal insults, calls for violence and vandalism (which, unfortunately, we have also experienced), most anything goes on Whykuffar. However, due to the episodes just mentioned, membership and posting is by invitation only.

Access, however is perfectly free.

- Gio (Whykuffar Admin)

We encourage people of all opinions to sign up at Whykuffar (WK). Whykuffar members have long been on top of the extremist ideologies voiced on ICNA’s Whyislam forums. If anyone would like to be a part of Whykuffar please sign up at Whykuffar first and then post here your screen name and we will refer you to the WK admins for approval.

Thanks.

Video posted on Kobie Diallo Williams’ lawyer’s website: (Click here) (It’s easy to come forward of your own “volition” and seek your “lawyers” when you know you’ve been discovered.)

Kobie Diallo Williams rolled over on his friends in what we can assume an effort to make a deal with the government. Our guess is he got caught and used his knowledge of the others to avoid more prison time for jihad training in Texas that was under investigation on at least 5 occasions according to reports.
