Houston Taliban Plot
Abu Jamal – March 4, 2007 The Islamic law regarding those (Muslims) who aid kuffar (non-Muslims) in fighting Muslims is very clear, their blood is not sacred. - Faketerror
“…prosecutor Shelley Hicks told jurors Shah was part of group of Muslim men who had become so dissatisfied with U.S. policies related to Iraq and other Muslim countries they began training in order to fight U.S. troops overseas.
Hicks said an undercover officer named Malik Mohamed infiltrated the group of men and recorded their conversations.
Mohamed testified Monday the men took part in five camping trips in 2005 and 2006.
Mohamed, whose role was to train the men, said the group was always looking for individuals who also wanted to take part in a jihad…” – Associated Press

According to news reports:
4 Whyislam and ICNA workers (coined by the media as the “Houston Taliban”) held jihad training camps on Islamic Society of Greater Houston property in Willis Texas north of Houston.
The men sought firearms training in the Houston area on at least eight occasions between May 2005 and June 2006. Semi-automatic weapons were used in paramilitary training conducted by an undercover FBI agent.
The men were in possession of an Armalite M15A4 rifle, a .308 rifle and a 12-gage shotgun, a Glock pistol and other weapons.
The group was photographed and recorded during the paramilitary training exercises.
The plot (at least by 2 of them but known by all of them) was to travel to the middle east to join Taliban forces in their fight against US and coalition forces.
At least 2 Houston Taliban members sent funds to the Taliban.
The lead member, Kobie Diallo Williams felt remorse, came forward when questioned by the FBI and cooperated. Subequently, the remaining 3 members were arrested and charged. Unlike the others who are facing 10 years per charge, Mr. Williams will receive up to 5 years instead of a possible 35 years!
Kobie Diallo Williams plead guilty. Shiraz Syed Qazi plead not guilty but was found guilty by a federal judge. Syed Maaz Shah was found guilty by a 12 member jury. Adnan Babar Mirza plead not guilty and is awaiting trial.
After the reports of the arrests of Kobie Diallo Williams and Adnan Babar Mirza, reports of two others (Shiraz Syed Qazi and Syed Maaz Shah) were arrested in connection to the plot. All of the Houston Taliban group are members of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and two of them (possibly three) are members of ICNA’s Whyislam which is the organization they used to collaborate with each other according to news reports. Shah was also President of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at UTD. Both the Islamic Circle of North America and Whyislam are volunteer organizations and they performed volunteer work with these organizations as well as held key positions within the organizations themselves.
Shah, Qazi and Mirza are blood-related as cousins.
Neither organization has come forward with public statements to condemn and distance themselves from the actions of their members.

Why are you spreading lies, taking goverment information as if they are the end all be all of truth?
Have you no shame?
We decided to allow this one comment from the ICNA Houston spammer (here known as ‘concerned citizen’ (SHYAA!). Again it is a fake name and email but the same IP address as we have identiified. It is actually a legitimate question. There is an answer.
Concerned spammer, is this a lie we are spreading?
Kobie Diallo Williams, 33, a U.S. citizen who was a student at the University of Houston Downtown, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to assist a terrorist group. His help included withdrawing cash from an ATM to send to the Middle East. Williams’ attorney, Alamdar S. Hamdani, said Williams chose not to fight the charges. “He made a grave mistake,” said Hamdani. “And he has come forward to own up to that.”
Another man, Adnan Babar Mirza, 29, a Pakistani national who was in the country on an expired student visa, faces similar conspiracy charges as well as three federal weapons violations.
Shiraz Syed Qazi, 29, a Pakistani national in the United States on a student visa, has been convicted of unlawfully possessing a firearm…. A Pakistani student who authorities said had ties to a terrorist plot to aid the Taliban was sentenced to 10 months in prison Thursday on a gun charge.
A federal judge in Dallas on Friday ordered a 19-year-old (Syed maaz Shah) University of Texas at Dallas student to remain in custody on a firearms charge after prosecutors said he was linked to two Houston men who wanted to fight for the Taliban…. “He displayed his passport to another member of the group and asked him if he wanted to see what the passport of a terrorist looked like,” the agent testified in court. “His passport had stamps from Oman, the United Arab Emirates, London and the United States.”
didn’t he read? or CANT HE READ? it’s all in the news reports.
At the risk of exposing you lost you both are, I am not from Texas, I’ve never been to Texas.
I’m on the East Coast.
mr. spammer no one said you are from Texas. ICNA has bases on the east coast. However, you are using an icnahouston webmail account. You were called the ICNA Houston spammer because you are using this account. We also know that ICNA harbors agent provocateurs like you, whether on the east coast or west. Since ICNA is a national organization and it is their members arrested and found guilty, ICNA members in Houston collude with ICNA on the east coast to support their Taliban wannabees. You obviously feel your role is to spam.
I’m happy they caught those crazy terrorists, throw them in jail and leave them there forever or deport them back to their countries. Keep up the good work guys, we need all the good press we can find, this is just another case by our government to stop ‘real terror’.
Concerned citizen shut your trap, leave if you don’t like how things are done here. This is America, love it or leave it.
I tried to post on Fake yesterday but they wouldn’t put my post up. Hmmmmmm. I guess 1st Amendment rights only go one way…
I told them that Shah was guilty and found to be so by a jury in a fair trial, which would NOT have happened in his parents’ country of origin.
Welcome to America… Durka durka y’all.
HAHA earl looks like fake is FAKE!
This is so true that he got a fair trial, his day in court. Try getting that in Pakistan where people gang rape people under tribal council order!
http://archives.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/south/08/04/pakistan.justice/index.html
Good thing these men are not in Pakistan. You can complain about America all you want but it still is one of the most safe and secure places to live in the world because of due process and rule of law.
And in Saudi I shudder to think what they might do.
Below is a copy of my post to Fake that they probably won’t put up… like the last two I put there. (One actually made it on there for a short time… but was then taken down. Gotta love the First Amendment.)
Karbakala sherpa durka.

Karbakala sherpa durka.
Why did you take my post down? Because it contradicts your pre-formed opinion? I thought Islam encouraged truth seeking, yet you won’t even allow opposing viewpoints on your site.
And then… you hide behind the 1st Amendment when people criticize the things members of your community say in support of jihad… or in support of jihadis like Maaz Shah.
You are a perfect example of prejudice. I’ll copy this post on a website with a viewpoint that opposes yours so everyone will know your hypocrisy. At least on the other site they allow opposing views.
How very AMERICAN of them.
I should probably be upset and offended and claiming prejudice and racial and religious profiling and so on ad nauseum, but that’s what they do everytime someone disagrees with them… well sometimes they riot, burn embassies and kill people too, witness the recent cartoon protests. (I however, FOR THE RECORD, prefer discussion to physical violence. It is a far more CIVILIZED method of conflict resolution than say, rioting and burning embassies and killing people.) I’ll just keep copying my posts here when I have something relevant to say, as defined by me. (God I LOVE the First Amendment sometimes…).
I’ll save the posts that are soley sarcastic for their site.
Y’all hang in there. Maybe someday the rest of the world will wake up and realize that we’re in the middle of a freaking war…
Oderint dum metuant.
oh yah the cartoons. people burning businesses and killing their own Muslim people for a cartoon drawn by someone, not a muslim, thousands of miles away!
real civilize, real intelligent would you say?
Uncivilized people quick to threatn and do violence and slow to discuss non-violent solutions. Where is the free speech when they protest like this against it?
If it’s ok with you guys here at Realterror, I’d like to address faketerror here, since they won’t allow my messages to be seen by anyone..
You people on Faketerror say things such as “Does anyone think these folks will listen to the truth!” All the while, you are blind to the truth yourselves. Your guys have either pled guilty, or have been found guilty by the courts, judges, juries of your peers.
You aren’t allowing any comments that contradict your thoughts. What are you afraid of by posting my comments? I’m Muslim, just like you. I guess the difference is that I’m also an American, and I love my country. I don’t wany anyone, Muslim or Christian or Hindu or whatever, to come and threaten my home and my life.
In doing this, you are losing credibility by the minute. I’m sure I’m not the only one trying to post comments on your blog, just to inform others that there are two sides to every story. Yet, you are only allowing a select few through, ones that of course support your side.
Stand up, be real men, and face the truth. If you can’t address such trivial things as blog comments, what kind of men does that make you? I’ll check back at your blog for my comments to appear. I hope you are able to overcome your cowardly approach to this.
Nice blog site ; I like the way you guys have this set up.
thanks christianactionnetwork! glad you visited!
